Isabel Murillo Ordoñez was born in 1989 in Nuevo León, México. She received a BFA in 2012 from Universidad Autónoma De Nuevo León Facultad De Artes Visuales.

She started drawing from a young age, drawn by the cartoons of the 90’s and the pop culture of Mexico.

Her work consists in a play between the reality of life and the surreal magic of it all. Her vocabulary ranges from disturbing archetype to cute cliché.

The viewer is confronted with the juxtaposition of childhood memories and the mysterious magic of the innocent soul.
